Srinagar, April 30 (KNO) : Zonal president of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Noor Muhammad Kalwal has been arrested by police and lodged at police station Kothi-Bagh Srinagar, a spokesman said on Tuesday. It is pertinent to mention that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik is already in incarceration from last three months and lodged at Tihar Jail Delhi these days. “Malik’s already fragile health has deteriorated considerably from last few weeks and before his shifting to Tihar Jail he was admitted at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for many days,” a statement issued to KNO reads. Condemning the arrest of Kalwal and prolonging the incarceration of others, JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar said that “suppressing political dissent by banning organizations, arresting political leaders, activists, scholars and businessmen, using agencies like NIA and ED and colonial type laws and tactics to prolong their incarceration is nothing but travesty of justice and democracy.”(KNO)
